The best album of literally all time. Not just because I'm Matt's cousin, I'm a hardcore melodic death metal fan. I listen to Kalmah, Black Dahlia Murder, Amon Amarth, Wintersun and much more, but this surpasses every single album I've ever listened to. I sincerely wish you would continue this style. This is the only album I'd ever give 5 stars to.
I have only recently discovered that this isn't just an album of live music...I know what I will be buying next! I love the alternate version of afterlife and a great deal of the other songs...not so sure about girl I know though!
Very weak album, most of the songs were trash. But thankfully with some good songs like Crossroads,Demons and flash of the blade. And thanks for the live dvd which is great!
Live In The LBC is one of the kick-ass concerts i ever seen. the songs i really liked in the concert is "Critical Acclaim" ,"Beast And The Harlot", "Almost Easy", and "Unholy Confessions" i have all og u guys CD's including "Nightmare" i'm thinking on learning "Buried Alive" bur defininetly i'll be learning "Nightmare" congrats on the new album. R.I.P. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan.
The live performance in this package is great. It shows great insight as to who A7X are as a live band for those who have never had the chance to see them, and provides an equally new and nostalgiac experience for those who already have. The ending will make you shit yourself. The special features are also worth watching it for, because they show you more of the sillier side of the band that we got a taste of in All Excess.
Diamonds In The Rough is a MUST HAVE for your Avenged Sevenfold music catalogue. I actually enjoy many of the songs on this disc more than I do their self-titled album. "Until The End", "Tension", and "Crossroads" would have to be my favorite. And I happen to like the version of "Afterlife" on this disc, more than I do the original.
The only song on this album that doesn't fo it for me is "Demons", but to each his own.
I played this for my dad to try and get him into the band, since he never really listened to the music I was into. He got me into music in the first place, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when he enjoyed it.
