and realy like the bass on this album the guitar work isnt as good with out syn but is stil interesting to just hear zak play
they should remake some of the songs and play them live turn the other way lips of deceit and shattered by broken dreams ar my fav.
When you guys first came out i was amazed at your first album. I was 5 when it came out and my parents would yell it at me to turn it down. You guys are my idols.

Sounding The Seventh Trumpet was definitely a pre-cursor of what was to come. It is just as important as any other album in their catalogue. There's so much in this album that both the casual and hardcore punk/metal fans could relate to. That's always been what M. Shadows has been the best at I think, relating to his audience. There are so many interesting parts in this album that never seem to get old to me.
This album may not be their best, but is definitely my favorite. But that is due in part to my love of raw music.
I can't believe how self-conscious the band is about this album. I feel like this is definitely one of their best. The lyricism in this album was so varied and real. Although there was practically no production if any, the instrumentality in the album is very competent, some regarding the drumming as some of the Rev's best.
The song structures themselves are proof that the band was aiming high when recording this album. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet needs some representation in their shows.
This is the last album I purchased before Nightmare. I realized that I was missing one in my collection. It's a bit dated, but I can definitely see how the band's grown from that point into what they are today.
"Streets" and "Warmness On The Soul" still stand up in my playlist against the newer things, even despite Warmness being a slower song, I love any band that can successfully incorporate a piano into awesome current-day music.
Well, you guys have come a long way. I first got this in Grade 6 back in '02 when Matt sent it to me with a few copies to give out. God you guys have grown up so much.

i first fell in love with this album when my buddy took me to the dragstrip and blasted Warmness On The Soul while qualifying down the track
A very solid debut album, i think they should play some songs off this album live, probably will never happen though =(
To End The Rapture, even though it's just the intro, it is one of my all time favorite songs. Great drumming from Jimmy, extremely fast paced. R.I.P
