Well... my name is Candice I am 14 years old and I love you guys! Whenever I'm feeling down your music always makes me feel better. I may not have all your shirts or I may not have my walls painted with your lyrics or replicas of your instruments but thats because I dont have enough money or opportunities to have or do any of that. But you are my favorite band and I have always wanted to see you live but I'm not allowed to go to concerts for I have lost trust from my parents. I'm trying to learn to play like Synyster Gates and Zacky V but they're too advanced for me haha. I have 2 of your shirts, plugs, a necklace, an the Live in LBC CD (that my parents wish they never bought me haha.) The first song I ever heard from you guys was I Wont See You Tonight Part 1 that my ex showed me and I'm glad he showed me that song, if it werent for him I wouldnt have known you guys and your music is all I ever hear, I can't go a day without your music and hearing Syns beast guitar solos :D One of my dreams is to meet you guys and hopefully my dream can come true soon.

Wow no idea where to start, A7X is my favorite band has been since waking the fallen. My dad passed away when i was eight and I had alot of powerful emotions inside and I didnt know how to deal with. When I was Eight my uncle got me my first guitar it was a shit box squire hahah but it was a start. When i discovered A7X I was like, "wow thats what i wanna do" i started having my teacher show me how to play everysong that came my way until i mastered waking the fallen and city of evil which made my playing and skills go through the roof. It helped me express my emotions and opened me up to a new world of music. Now its been ten years of guitar and im going to college for it next year at Emmanuel in Boston. My playing is phenomenal and i owe it to bands like Avenged and Metallica who made practicing a little more exciting then scales, sheets, and classical composure. Check out the pics below and you can see how much this band means to me. I know every word and every lick. Ive gone out of state to catch shows and during first period the next day all i could think of was how fucking worth it hhaha. Ive seen you guys seven times most recently at mohegan and i recently added the synyster custom to my squad of guitars. I know its unlikely that i win and im fine with that I just hope someone in the band gets to read this and know how much of an influence they have had on my life, my playing, and the overall last several years of my life. I've been a fan of A7X for about three years now, unfortunately missed the one and only concert in my country the last two years as it was during my exam period =( almost flew to asia to finally see them live haha. I can't claim im the most die hard fan as i dont have any tattoos like some of the entry's i took a look at. I'd love to get some but i just can't yet :(

I will try to explain why i think i'm one of the most die hard fans. Here in the Netherlands we have a top 1000 of best songs of all time on the radio. Around chrismas, it's a countdown thing and its up to voters to decide what songs get at what place, if placed at all. So last year i convinced a few friends to help me out, we made about 600 hotmail accounts from which we voted on seize the day, buried alive, welcome to the family, afterlife and many many more a7x songs but unfortunately they didn't pick any of them :(

Besides that I had this rare illness that makes you very very sleepy about.. 2 years ago, you basically act like a hybernating animal.. once i slept for 30 hours straight while my mum tried to wake me up by hitting me. This illness lasted for a good 7 months and made me loose most of my friends as i wasn't able to do anything social, only the good ones still remain. Anyway losing them got me quite depressed and i also couldnt finish school as fast as my classmates and friends, so i decided i should do something for myself for once, and i couldn't think of anything else i'd love to do more than learn to play the guitar like Synyster does! I took all my money that i had made from working at the local supermarket at evenings and went to the music store in my town, asked them if they could get their hands on a left handed syn custom schecter.. and after a few months it was there! then i bought the amplifiers you see in the pictures and decided i should take guitar lessons...... could come in handy huh.. now i've been playing the guitar for nine months, atleast 2 hours straight each day and im able to play along with most of your songs exept for the solo's need way more practise on those :P

It's really hard trying to explain all of the reasons why I'm such a huge fan, but I'll try to explain the best I can.
I've been a fan of Avenged Sevenfold since I started fifth grade, I'm starting my senior year this fall. When we were leaving elementary school, we were asked to give a speech about our hero; I wrote about M. Shadows and my dad. I said he was a hero because he wrote songs about the United States soldiers, and my dad was a medic soldier, serving in the war in Iraq at the time.

I got made fun of a lot in middle school by kids who thought that Avenged Sevenfold was an 'evil' band, but I always defended their music and told them to fuck off because I wanted to be myself. My freshman year, I lost one of my best friends. His name was Drake, and he committed suicide. I found out about that around the time Avenged Sevenfold discovered that they had lost their friend, Jimmy. At the time I started listening to Avenged Sevefold even more because we had something in common, we had both lost a best friend who was like a brother to us.

Now that I'm starting my senior year, I recently got a deathbat tattoo on my inner left ankle. I can't count how many times people told me not to do it, but I went for it anyway and I couldn't be happier with it. It represents my love for Avenged Sevenfolds music, and is also a memorial for my friend Drake, who was a huge fan of Avenged Sevenfold himself.

I've seen Avenged Sevenfold live every year since 7th grade, I believe. My very first A7X show was in 2007 at Sokol Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. My most recent one was last year at River Riot, also in Omaha. I don't have a lot of merch because I think my tattoo sums it up, but I collect their concert tickets and I have a few wristbands I've gotten at concerts.

To sum it all up, Avenged Sevenfold has been in my life since I was a kid, and their lyrics always help get me through whatever stupid shit life puts me through. I'm proud to say I'm a die-hard fan of this amazing band.

Hi, I'm almost 18 and I live in Croatia but I'm planning on going in Canada on music university (I go to music school for 10years now playing the piano and singing) so I'll definitely go on your concert for the first and surely not the last time. I don't have much of the merch because I kinda have a life hahah but since my older brother showed me Afterlife for the first time in 2007. I haven't stopped listening to your songs and watching all kind of videos on youtube. I play and sing lots of songs in my free time, especially now in the summer. I really like your style and just can't find a flaw in your singing and playing. Matt's voice is so unique and I LOVE listening to him. All of you guys have so much talent. I love every album and I watch your live concerts all the time and can't wait to attend one. Hello, my name is Amanda, I have 16 years and I'm from Brazil. The first song I heard you was bat country and already fell in love with music and was soon looking for more and I was surprised to like, because until that day was not a fan of songs with harder sound.
I have much to thank you because I loved writing poetry, and reading the lyrics of their songs that inspired me to start writing more songs and was Johnny Christ one who inspired me to play bass. I have all his albums and just not even got a tattoo in honor of the best drummer who ever lived because I'm underage. This is going to sound like such a cliche but your music has genuinely inspired me. The first song I ever listened to by A7X was "Afterlife" and since that first listen I just knew I would love the rest of your work, so the next day I went out and bought the rest of your CDs. What I heard just changed the way I thought about music. I have now taken up guitar just so I can play your songs.

I love Avenged Sevenfold so damn much that it's not even real. Like, no joke I have been morbidly obsessed with you guys since fourth grade. I don't just love the music, I look up to the guys in the band because they put out their music for their fans and no one else; meaning, they don't give a fuck about what anyone thinks. but more important than the things i own to prove my fan-ness, im one of your biggest fans because you guys changed my life. ive always been really depressed and put down a lot, told that i could never acheive my dreams, but ths band has given me new hope. i aspire to become a musician, but i kinda felt like i couldnt do it, until i read jimmys quote, "the most important thing you can do it follow your dreams. you dont have to be the best at what you do 'cause people have already changed the world without being the best." also, seize the day effected my lifestyle greatly.

this probably doesnt seem like much (i probably sound stupid, too) and i probably wont win 'cause i cant afford to prove my fan-ness with merch and stuff like that, but words cant describe how this band has brought me to change for the better. its incomprehensable.

There's probably more crazy people out there than me but I love all of your songs, run an a7x site, & have a freaky amount of merch. Also I visited the revs drum set about a month ago & it was the best moment of my life.

So I Bought All Your Albums And I Fell In Love With Band Too ! When I Bought Nightmare I Was Listening To It All The Time ! I Really Love the Riffs And Solos And Im Trying To Learn All Your Songs :) The Reason That I Love Your Band This Way Is I Go High With Solos And Riffs Also Your Lyrics Are Very Strong ! Currently, I am on vacation and do not have all my swag to show you how much I truly adore A7X...but I did not know how long this would be running and knew I needed to get this out there just in case. Avenged Sevenfold has been my world since 2007, and I cannot imagine life without them..I wish I had caught on sooner. When Jimmy died, I cried almost the entire day because I thought I was never going to be able to see you live. When Nightmare came out, I knew it was my time. Every album has been a musical masterpiece, and I could never get tired of listening to you. The musical techniques and showmanship that Avenged uses puts them so far above any other band I know. I have seen A7X three times live in three different states; Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana, and I am proud to say that I have cried each and every time. Listening to A7X sparks so many emotions in me, and even though my friends tell me I am obsessed, I say am PROUD to be obsessed with a band as influential and strong as Avenged Sevenfold. I AM one of your most dedicated fans, and I dearly LOVE A7X.
